British Pattern 1845 Infantry Officer's Sword with original sword knot and patent leather hilt liner
A VICTORIAN 1845 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, with etched blade decorated with the crowned Royal cypher, scrolling foliage and a vacant shield at the forte, gilt-brass regulation hilt with openwork folding side-guard, wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, early leather liner, sword knot, in its gilt-brass-mounted leather scabbard (scuffed) 82.5 cm; 32 ½ in blade.
Two items in this photo that are often missing from antique Pattern 1845 Infantry Officers' Swords are the sword knots and patent leather hilt liners, both still present on this sword. I think the gilt brass hilt is quite striking with the blade liner.
I am afraid I don't recall where I found this image so I cannot give appropriate credit.
British Cavalry Officer's Levee (Dress) Sword
A MID 19th CENTURY WARWICK YEOMANRY MAMELUKE SABRE BY C SMITH, 12 PICCADILLY, LONDON the curved single edged blade etched with flowers and leaf work decoration leading to the gilt brass hilt cast with acanthus leafs, the ivory grip complete with silver thread sword knot, original signed steel scabbard with brass gilt mounts 91cm overall.
From about 1800, the "mameluke" style sword was popular amongst cavalry officers as a dress sword. This practice continued into the early 20th century. Victorian and later examples are nearly identical to the pattern 1831 General Officer's Sword.
British 1796 pattern light cavalry sabre
The P1796 LC sword persisted into the Victorian era in the forms of re-purposed blades, newly made swords for Indian cavalry regiments and special pattern officers' swords, and WWI era regulation Indian cavalry swords.

British Pattern 1853 Cavalry Trooper's Sword, 10th Royal Hussars
Steel swept bar hilt with regimental stamping "10 RH 348" (10th Royal Hussars), two piece leather grips. Sword knot tied to the hilt. Plain single edged slightly curved blade with fuller to the back section. Various acceptance stamps and markings. Blade measures 88cms in length. No scabbard. These swords first saw service during the Crimean War, the 10th Royal Hussars were engaged during the Crimean War at the Siege of Sebastopol and the Battle of Eupatoria.

This is a British Pattern 1827 Rifle Officer's sword, made sometime after 1892 (based on what I can see of the blade in the photo and the shape of the grip). How can I tell what the Pattern is? The steel hilt with strung bugle emblem and the black leather sword knot are the giveaways.
British Pattern 1827 Rilfe Officer's Sword of Picquet Weight
Also known as levee swords, these swords were lighter and daintier versions of service swords. They were for for balls, levees, and other dress occasions when a full weight sword would have been cumbersome.
Victorian Rifle Regiment Officers Levee Sword, untouched example with pierced half basket hilt having crowned strung bugle. Fish skin covered grip. Housed in its steel scabbard. Finely engraved etched blade with crowned VR cipher to one side and Rifles bugle to the reverse. No retailers marks. Blade retains nearly all of the polished finish and remains in near mint condition. Blade measures 83cms, overall 101cms.
